I'm in Anephas's temple and am trying to get up to see Kerah on the lift but I can't find her. When I get to the water at the top of the lift I have tried going up, along and everywhere but I remain in the water and don't come out of it. Is there something I'm supposed to have done before this point?

No, you just have to pull the lever on the wall in the underwater room above the elevator.
