I am going through the game for at least my fourth time. This time I have invested a lot of thief points in Pickpocket. What types of people should I try to pickpocket? Most characters seem to have nothing valid to take.

The handbook of clues says that any person with a name is likely to have something of value. Those that have not a name should not be bothered with.

SPOILER
. . . . . . . . . . Algernon - for his cloak. He is upstairs at one of the inns in Beregost. ------------------ http://www.gldb.com/wayno/epona2.gif Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. Epona of The Laughing Hyenas |
Pickpocket the farmers on the Ankheg map, they have a flail and the bowl, this way you can get he flail and return th ebowl. If you have Totsc, go to Ulgoths beard, theres a woman (forget her name) has a ring of freedom, and the dwarf inside the inn has a nice hammer (the one who gives you the quest to find the dagger), this can be very useful at the beggining of the game. Paladin in the Jovial Juggler has a +1 shield, which you can get through a quest (pickpocketing is easier) and ofcourse Drizzit, you can pickpocket his swords but not his armor.
Various people throughout the game hold minor treasures, like gems and rings, but most of it is not of high value ! ------------------ http://usa.venus.co.uk/weed/agifs/images72/gargman8.gif Time is only relevant if you have none ! [This message has been edited by Gargoyle (edited 05-20-2001).] |
