I've finished the entire crypt before I decided to go to the other side of town where I got the Algamesh necklace quest from the girl next to the windmill. I came back to the crypt and can't find the necklace anywhere!! Where is it supposed to be?? I hope that completing the crypt before (like you are supposed to do) did not mess up this quest! She is supposed to have some information on the snake queen so I wanted to get that information before going to the temple.

It's in the 2nd room you reach in the very beginning of the crypt (before going down the broken stairs). the one with the locked door. Inside is a chest.. that's the one.

I opened that prior to getting the quest..no necklace...

Got the quest..went back...chest is empty...room is empty..no other items..

How can one complete this quest..if they opened the chest?

Are you sure you maybe didn't sell it without identifying it first? It's not obvious what it is until it is identified (at least it wasn't for me...). If so you can always buy it back.

You may already have it, I did and didn't know what it was. It's the one with the wings on it and is also
a +1 protection when worn, kind of a bummer to give away.

OH, of course I had it!!! I didn't ID it so didn't know what it was and it also said 'amulet' not necklace.
