Whats your fave NPC of ALL time in the BG series (incl Icewind dale)and why?

Mine has to be Minsc, that nutty ranger has kept me playing this game. He really is the most memorable thing about the BG series. Without him it would be rather bland (still excellent but not as funny)

Are ther really NPCs in Icewind Dale...I thought that there weren´t any at all???

Well, the way i see it, every person you encounter that isn't in your party is an NPC, so people like Hrothgar are, to me, considered NPC's. As far as the NPC's who join your group in BG, they are not really NPC's to me. When you get control over them, they, imo, loose their NPC status. They are nothing more then non-player generated player characters. Granted they have some dialogue with each other and the protagonist during the game but for everything else you are controlling them. As for the best NPC, i would go for Sarevok when it comes down to pure fighting and Jan (big surprise there) when it comes to comic relief.

Viconia. I know it's kinda cliché. Drow rejects Underdark. Comes to surface and is shunned by Humanity. But I have a soft spot for Vicky. I think she's way more interesting than Drizzt the Uber-Ranger [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Should have clarified, by NPC's i mean ANY characters not created by you that you can interact with, so neeber(bg2) and noober(bg1) for example would count as well as Irenicus, Imoen, Elminster, Volo (my second pick btw) Jaihera, khalid (poor fella, i miis him a bit [img]smile.gif[/img] ) etc

my favs are Xan and Xzar from BG1, Edwin from bg2 and Sarevok from Tob

My favorite NPC has got to be Kivan from BG1. He was a great fighter and an awsome thief.For BG2 my favorite has to be Viconia.She makes you kill EVERYONE who trier to burn her at the stake just to get her in your partie.If that isnt hard core I dont know what is. Besides , at least she doesnt whine about her wings or her ex husband through the whole game.
