I have heard that a lot of good items are for sale at the Ulgoth's Beard (if that's how you spell it) inn. I would appreciate it if someone told me how to get to the place in more detail than for instance "the Northwest corner of Baldur's Gate".

Did you install Tales of the Sword Coast (and did you finish the Bandit's Camp plot)? It is north of the Bandit's Camp (and due east of Baldur's Gate) . . . if you finish BG before you install TOSC and you convert your final saved game to TOSC, the game will put you again in Chapter Seven but will start you in Ulgoth's Beard instead of the area where you took your stand against Sarevok. Make sure you have money when you go shopping . . .some of that stuff isn't cheap!

If you have ToSC installed then go up to the zombie farms, north of the far side of the huge bridge. Don't forget that there is a cloak of prot.+1 and a pearl necklace inside the old mans cottage. Remember he lies when he says that's all the money he has...

You can alos head there by heading to the bridge that leads to BG and heading north.
