I met up with the evil mage Xar from Bg1 and he has asked me to find Motronon, but the problem is, I think hes on the second floor of the Harper Bulding and there are these really nasty ghosts up there that I cant even touch. I think if I had a harper pendant I could get up there, but where do I find one? (I cant just kill or pickpocket the harpers either, tends to make Jaheria really mad)

Look around the right side of the first floor of the Harper building. The floor in which you enter the building. You should find a few rooms. Take a look around in them.
