In Trademeet, after I had killed the genies and did the druid grove quest, I went to this nobleman-looking merchant that is only there during the day. I souped up yoshimo's pickpocket to 95 with a potion/s of master thievery. I stole long sword + 2, ras, the belt of inertial barrier, the cloak of displacement, and pretty much everything else he had that was magical and that I could use. I also went to the guy in the tent ( not the genie )and stole his scrolls and more potions of master thievery.

Only 95%? ;) I usually pump Pickpocket until it reaches 200%, then I go around the place yelling, "Freeee! Freeee!". ;)

Just remember not to neglect Lockpick and Detect/Disarm Traps. I pump these to 100% each before pumping Pickpocket to 200%.

You can also use Potions of Master Thievery to tide you over until you have enough natural Pickpocketing skills. The potions are cumulative by the way.

One neat trick to get rich quick is to exploit the honest merchants and the black-market merchants. First, I sell my loot to the honest merchant and then steal it back... Proceed to sell it again to the black-market merchant. Wands are really good for this trick... because when you steal them back, they have maximum charges, so you can sell them for a lot of money to the black-market merchant.
