Well...Iīm making a party from scratch bottom So I thought that making four fighters with the right kind of prof. choices would be a good idea...I even went as far to distributing their abbilities in the right places...So i.e. the fighter who is to become a mage does in fact have 18 in inteligence!
NOW THE PROBLEM IS AS FOLLOWS: I donīt get a chance to dual any of the four fighters and I canīt figure out what is wrong...do they need to reach a certain lvl. before I can dual or something like that! I just triede dualling them as soon as I was in the first few seconds of the game...still in Irenicus dungeon AND yes I know that this should belong in the SoA forum but I need these people for a ToB game in multiland with some friends :D |
Dual classing comes to humans only AFTER they reach second level.
ONE thing to note, you get proficiencies right off from using the warrior model. This is good but you get even MORE proficiency points for rangers. They too have racial enemies which makes them formidable comrades. The warrior classes : fighters, rangers, and paladins get 1-10 hitpoints per level for the frist 9 levels. So the warrior classes could get as much as 10 hitpoints per level. This goes til lvl 9. At lvl 9, any of the mentioned classes above can be at 90 hitpoints. You ALSO get bonuses from high constitution. Humans have a max constitution of 18 which adds +4 hitpoints to what they get per level. I would get a warrior to at least lvl 9 to get maximum usage out of this table, then dual him to another class. This gives the most hp but you can dual anytime after level 2. I believe barbarians have a hitpoint table with a range of 1-12 instead of 1-10 for the first 9 lvls. The human race is the only race which can dual class....while others can multi-class ONLY if their stats meet the requirements for both. If you wanted to multi-class an elven fighter to mage, he would need to have the proper mimimal stats for both fighter and mage. If he doesn't, then you wouldn't even see the multi-class selection box highlighted. And just because humans can dual class doesn't mean you can have a paladin dualing to a mage. There are restrictions. So hope that clears up some of the confusion. |
Thanx...but Iīm still in dire straits regarding this problem.
My four fighters all have the stats needed for the dualling but the dualbox isnīt highlighted and since U start at lvl. 7 in SoA I should be able to dual right away unless of course U mean that it is at 9th lvl I can dual the characters |
take for example my fighter Artemis Darkshade:
Elf str: 17 Dex: 19 Con: 15 Int: 17 Wis: 16 Cha: 18 He is of neutral Good alignement and has high mastery in scimitars and a couple of points in dualwielding...Yet I cannot dual him, Iīve tried boosting his exp. by usin cheats but it doesnīt work...that is he DOES get exp. and lvls up but the dualbox is still not highlighted |

Elves can't dual. They can multi-class. I think for that however you would need to have done it at the character selection. ELVES ARE NOT HUMANS. Multi-class is different from dual classing. YOu do have to pick this at character selection. Just an oversight but seems to be a big one. |
Doh!!!
Thanx Peewee...I didnīt really use the head on that one, wich by some curious accident seems to be rather profound for this night :D Thanx again...gotta go make some changes |

Apeears to be ya getting ready for some great times playing the multiplayer bit. I've been wanting to try it but have like no direction on where to look besides gamespy(from what I hear of cheaters, I'm not even gonna try). Don't have ppl who are into rpgs - mostly counterstrike junkies. Plus I'm clueless on working with LAN's or modems to modems... Have fun with your friends. |
Actually weīre putting up a 100MB hub and just playing among ourselves none of usīd like to get smashed by some totally puffed up character in gamespy...Even though theyīd have a hard time against my basic lvl 31 party
