Can anyone give me tips on defeating Irenicus in the asylum?

It was pretty much a blur for me, but I had 5 char plus all the mages to help. I remember lots of Breach, Spell Turning, and good old fashioned slashing/bashing with Flame of North, Flail of Ages, Mace of Disruption. Most of my chars survived practically untouched.

Just make sure you have a couple of people going after Irenicus and

Try and take out any of your duplicated characters that aren't scrambling around. Like I said it was a blur, ther was like 20 characters all in 1 little room. Mini Dance party I guess.

Yes!

Step1: Remove his spell protections.

Step2: Remove his melee protections

Step3: Spank his booty with big burly sweaty armed men!

Step4: Repeat as necessary!

Note: If step 3 offends you as sexist, simply replace it with this.

Are you asking the prisoners in Spellhold to help you? I think they did half the work for me. I ignored the clones Irenicus made of me and just had my mages take down his defenses and my fighters to whack him until he ran away [img]smile.gif[/img]

I tried many times with assorted spells, potions, etc., but never could kill Jon-boy, although he was usually 'near death' when he warped out. I get the impression that you can't kill him at this stage of the game. Is this correct, or can you really turn him into chutney? Perhaps my group is to wimpy yet.

No, you can't really kill him in the Asylum. It would ruin the story if you could, cause he's not through with you yet.

I just went at him with everything I had. My characters were mostly fighters or warrior types (one was a mage) and I was a Monk. All his little friends couldn't touch me since i was immune to normal weapons and i could deal out a lot of damage. I survived with all of my characters intact.
