A couple of questions/things to clear up:

What are the maximum backstab multipliers for Thieves? I thought it was 3x for Bounty Hunter, 5x for Thief, and 7x for Assassin?

Which weapons can you backstab with? I always thought it had to be shortsword or daggers only, but I've read posts with people claiming to have backstabbed with larger swords and even hammers and junk??

Thanks in advance for any responses...

In the p&P-rules you can backstab only with weapons of small size, but then in BG there are many p&p-rules, which were not applied strictly.

So can mny assassin backstab with long sowrds?

It seems like long swords work just fine, even quarter staves!

Probably any weapon that a thief can normally use...

Also I think it's up to 5x for normal Thieves and Bounty Hunters, 7x for Assassins, 1x http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif for Swashbucklers.

and 3x for stalkers (although they *may* reach 5x at a higher level??)

Sweet thanks, I'm actually a swashbuckelr, I got confused, but assassins look great too! Bounty hunters however..........not so much (both by reading about them and my bias hatred for Yoshimio) hehehehe Killed him in the copper coronet so I dont need to bother with him when he keeps turning invisable and has all his friends. On that note, am I the only one who gives up the 200,000 XP to not cure his geas? I never do that, NO YOU SHALL NEVER BE FRE!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA! kinda a last bit of bitter revange. anywho later, gotta go cethc the bus.

Yeah, I stopped recruiting him when I realised he betrays you in the end. You may gain 200,000 Xp from redeeming his heart, but how much Xp did you lose simply by having him in your party? Xp which could have been spent on other NPCs.
