Can anyone help,I just left the underdark but upon entering underdark exit,(the area containing elhan and all those elves) no one is there,not elhan not an elf not even a moose (maybe a moose I dunno) can anyone help please?

Sounds like a bug to me. Or if you accidently killed an elf in the underdark, that may be the problem.
