BGII-SoA
1. How many Chaptesrs? 2. Is there a way to resurect none party members? 3. You can import SoA charracters to ToB 4. If im playing singel or only with 2 charracters, witch are best? |
1. Either seven or nine. Can't recall...
2. Nope. There's one guy in ToB whom you can resurrect though. 3. Yes. 4. You mean solo or with a party of two? Soloing is more of a challenge, if you're into that kinda stuff, making the game more difficult and all. It's perfectly possible though. |
Resurrect non-party members? Afraid not. You can, however, heal them. This will not make them like you better, but it can help in the Planar Sphere quest, and you tangle with a certain demonically infested mage. ;) As you have to injure him severely in order to destroy the possession, it's quite possible he'll die while you're fulfilling the conditions he's stated to get the Sphere back to your homeworld. I've found that casting a Heal Serious Wounds will usually keep him alive sufficiently for you to perform the quest for the demon heart and install it properly.

So if you're taking Yoshimo or Imoen (or Jan :D ) you ought to play a healer, that is, a Cavalier, Druid or Cleric (or Ranger/Cleric, or Cleric/Mage). If you're going to play solo, Sorcerers are popular, as are Cavaliers. If you're going to take Aerie, Anomen or Jaheira, be a Thief/Mage or Fighter/Thief (or just a Thief). -- Nifft |
SPOILERS
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . You don't have to heal the necromancer to keep him alive. He won't die, regardless of what you do. I've had times where I've blown through the Sphere in an hour or so of game time, and other times where I've rested several times, and so taken 24 hours or so to clear it out. Either way, you put the demon heart in the engine, talk to him, and take him outside. The result is the same...he says his piece, and THEN he dies. An interesting side note is his reaction if you take him out at night, rather than in the daytime. He says something to the effect of Oh well, at least I got to see the sky and stars, if not the sun. |
That's funny--interesting tweak in my game: He said he wanted to go see his own sun one last time, but I'm about to leave the Sphere and I see the Moon icon is up. Ha ha, Lavok, you'll have to settle for starlight in smelly Athkatla. But then we go out side and Boom! Daylight, even though my clock said it was nighttime.
