This is not a fluke now, it happens not every time but a lot, and I try to avoid it but I sometimes forget.

I pick up a scroll and get Aerie to read it, and when it says she has reached her level of intelligence, I either get her to drink a potion to up her intelligence, which zaps me out back to the desktop, or to get round that I save my scroll in the scroll box till I have a few more, so she can drink and read lots at the same time. As soon as I put the offending scroll in the scroll box, zap I am back to the desktop again with a bloody mem assertion error. Does anyone else get this? I am playing on an Apple Mac in OS X. And as usual, there are no patches for the mac yet......

I do try to remember this so as to avoid it, but you can't remember everything can you

I wish I could help you, but where Macs are concerned, I'm in foreign country :( Have you tried contacting Interplay or Bioware tech support?

Yep, Bioware were a bit ticked off cos I dare to use a Mac instead of a PC and in no uncertain terms told me to go to MacPlay and not bother them, which I did about another query and I am stlll waiting and waiting

Forgot to say, Its not every time I put a scroll in my scroll box, only when I get the message about the intelligence limit.
