I was wondering about the AC...
IŽve played as a fighter in the last game...and when I use a shield... my AC drops to -11...I thought that the maximum AC was -10http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif
DonŽt get me wrong I like the fact of having a better AC....that way IŽll kick Irenicus around when I find him...HeŽll be toasthttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gifhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gifhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

I cant be certain, but i think that it can get much bigger than -10, ive heard a story on the forums about some guys Kensai having great AC, it was far better than -10 as i remeber.

I didn't know about any AC maximun, cuz Anomen has -12 for my game

Legolas the Elven Archer 10-20-2001 07:15 PM

I believe that there were some people who've managed to get something like -23.
No cheating involved, of course *cough* *cough*

last time i played a Swashbuckler i seem to remember his ac at around -14 (maybe i was already in TOB by then?). ...

andrewas 10-20-2001 08:20 PM

There is no minimum ac by the rules, altho there is a minimum set by the available armours and items. dont know or care what it is tho - -7 is good neough for me. -12 is easily available in the underdark tho.

-13 was the max for BG1 if thats of any interest.

The maximum effective AC you can have is -20 AC. Your screen may show a lower value, but it will be treated as -20 AC.

The highest I reached without spells or drow items was -15.

Mel 10-21-2001 05:06 AM

How did you get that? I'm in ToB and the best armour class I can get is -11 with no cheats or spells (or drow stuff).

Dundee Slaytern 10-21-2001 05:35 AM

The class which can gain the lowest AC is the Blade. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

Defensive Spin -10 AC
Big Metal Unit -10 AC (Pantaloon Armour), sets base AC to -10 AC
Ring of Gaxx -2 AC
Ring of Earth Control -1 AC
Helmet of Defence -1 AC
Cloak of the Sewers -1 AC
18 DEX -4 AC
Blur -3 AC

That's -32 AC for you. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif It only works as -20 AC though.
