I just brought a brand new computer ...pride and joy, yet equipped
with windows ME. Baldurs gate decides to crash every time I am in
Amn periodically so I play for a little then bang blue screen and
restarted computer. It only crashes in Amn though everything else
is fine.

It claims it is a windows protection error so I was wondering, is
there any way to turn of the damn windows protection

or better yet a step by step guide to startin DOS not windows, it just
keeps loadin Safe mode every time I try to do it.

I've got Windows ME with a P4 and it works fine. What are your specs?
