After meeting Ployer in the tavern go directly to the Government District and talk to Corneil (the Cowlie who sells the magic licenses). You get no information but after leaving the building one of Ployer allies will talk to you. You can bribe him to change sides. For 500 gp his group will not join the fight which gives Ployer a nasty surprise. For 2000 gp they kill Ployer.

Are you mad? With so much money I can buy a new cool weapon!

yeah, that is quite a sum of money.
and it's always so much more fun to destroy the bastards on your own....my kickass dude doesn't need to pay henchmen to get his dirty work done, dammit!

I always find that silence 15 ft. radius is extremely helpful in this battle. And maybe a few monster summoning spells so that you can have two or three guys attacking every mage.

2000 gold is a lot of meney?
you can by a cool new weapon for that?
what game r u playing, 2000 is nothing im paying like 26000 for decent robes and swords, if i dont find them. and yes i have good(ish) charisma and excellent rep.
