I think Galadria agrees with me, is there no decent guys for a gal in role-playing??
I wanna someone like Kivan from BG1
he is sooo nice -giggles-

If you're not opposed to romancing another gal, you could get that patch from Baldurdash. That way you can choose between Viconia, Jaheira and Aerie.

For what it's worth, I heard from one of the developers that they'd hoped to include Haer'dalis as a romantic choice for women, but the idea was jettisoned due to time constraints before the product hit the door.

You knew I would reply to this, didn't you, Angel? Well, yes, I have been agreeing with you at the top of my ...er...keyboard for a long while. If you want to keep it heterosexual, you'll have to wait on the Valygar romance that a guy on the Black Isle boards is working on.
Also, I am working with another person (who is male) on a same-sex romance with Imoen, but it is really for guys who like Immy, I think.
He said that he started off as a straight romance (literally) but that "it got all too weird." Judging from the partial script that he sent me, I agree.

Valygar is such a good choice for a female romance. He's like so many guys wish we were: dark, brooding, and single from strength of conviction rather than to B.O.

The other men in BG-II: Haer'Dalis would not settle down. Edwin would be HILLARIOUS -- I'd play a female just to see how that worked out. Minsc, eww, I don't want him romancing anyone near me. Korgan... well if a girl wants pain, okay, but again yuck. Keldorn is too goody-goody to betry his wedding vows. Yoshimo has plot-related issues. Jan would be funny, but he already has a love of his life. Cernd is as gay as mineral water He'd be a great homo-male romance, but I haven't heard anyone asking for one of those.

Notes for Edwin romance:
"Your power could grow to be immense. It would be wise for me to partake in your service (subtle emphasis on take, take, take)."

"While I was weak and transformed, you did not betray me. You have risen in my sight (though she was never hard on the eyes)."

"I will be honored to demonstrate the prowess of my Thavian maleness (at last, a wench I don't have to pay)."

Edwin? Eeeewwww. uke: I should also mention that when we get through with Imoen's Romance, we are goung to do a Keldorn Adulterous Romance that I (ta da!) am working on the script for.

*shocked gasp* A noble Paladin so great that he is mentioned even in Baldurs Gate, the archetype for all in the Radiant Heart... having an affair outside of marriage, while I like the prospect of having someone for a good female character who isn't an arrogant(anymore than any paladin is) @$$hole, I think in terms of roleplaying this violates the spirit of his character.

And Edwin would be AWESOME as a romantic interest, he is hilarious, Jan would be great too, but as Nifft said, he's already pining over a woman he'll never have (or maybe he will, I'm a chronic restarter).

LOL, Morgeruat. I know. That is what makes it so much fun to write. He has all of these guilty feelings and even thinks of leaving the Order. I'm doing it for fun, and because he is the only male character that I really like {except for Minsc, and that really would be too weird, all like Lenny in "Of Mice and Men," either played for laughs (too mean) or as a tragedy (like Viconia's but even worse}
