This is my second game and i decided to solve all quests. I gathered all evidences and get the Tanner to reveal himself. He is running away and disappear. I told him I will kill him, so I have to keep my word and I follow him. On the secon level however there is no trace of him, only mage who disappears and some other guys to kill.
OK I reloaded. And tried to kill him at the first level of cellars. I think that eigth time I was successfull - I provoked him to attack me instaead of fleeing (ring of ram, chromatic orb, some magic missiles), we start to fight. Jaheira summoned fire elemetal to help, but tanner has poor Thaco so he miss me all the time. After 1-2 minutes I counted HP he lost - about 1500. (every turn almost 100HP or over if all my guys hit (me -dual longswords, MInsc dual wielding, Ajantis with +2, Jaheira +2, fire elemental). I see that he is at the edge of death, so I went to drink some tee, 10 minutes later - he is loosing hp like before, I dont know - he lost 10000 ?
I reloaded, I had one scroll of desintegration, so I used - he died? and the same moment appeared again and attacked me - I was watching one minute but there was no chance to finish that fight. I checked in walkthrough and I dont think I will meet him again (anyway I am good so I dont need armor and dont want to kill dragon).
He is immortal!
Is any way to kill that bastard? (now or later)

OK - you have to let him escape. He is supposed to escape, it is part of the plot. Don't worry, you will get your chance with him later.

If you attack him before he flees, the version of Reijek in the tanners shop is invincible - in order to preserve the plotline.

So reload from before the fight, bite your tongue and let him go. Then start plotting your revenge...

let him escape , and then you solve the dao djin qeust in trade meet

then some one approce you and give you the qeust to go and kill him again

( that he realy dead )
