Hi i was wondering if some one could help me out i got the following spell cast on me and i cant get rid of the thing and its dropped my mage from a level 14 to level 4 how do i comabt it. its called energy drained Mage Level 4: Energy drained its doing me head in is there a counter spell etc to gt rid of it?????

Restoration spells cure level drain (cleric spells). Also you can buy scrolls of restoration from temples and priests in temples can cure level drain for you.

If you pay attention to the loading screen it comes up with the answer to this on occasion, but basicaly you can cure level drain by:

1)Casting "restoration" or "greater restoration" on the victim.

2)Pay a large wad of cash at a temple and theyll do it for you.

It is of course better to avoid level drain entirely, the best way to do this is with the item "Amulet of Power", which makes the wearer immune to it. The amulet also has some nice side-effects. Theres also the spell "negative plane protection" which does the same thing for a brief time. Both of these will be essential for fighting vampires.
