That depends. Baldur's Gate 2 is newer than Icewind Dale, but IWD: Heart of Winter is newer than BG2.

Hmmm, at least where I live Icewind Dale was released quite a few months before BG2. I'm pretty sure BG2 is newer. Icewind Dale still uses the old Baldur's Gate 1 animations for game characters.
