Three days ago i had the "brilliant"?? idea to upgrade my computer.I put a second hard drive and made the ram from 128 to 512.The result was that know i can't play bg and bg2.I execute the installation programm and i start a knew game,I create a new character and when the game is loading to take me to the dungeon of irenicus then it throws me to the windows.I have tried anything from downloading the newest drivers for my graffics card and installing dirrectx 8.0 but i can't play the game.
I know that this subject is irrelevant to this forum but i am despert.

It's very annoying to spent a lot of money buying a game that you can't play

I had the same problem after doing the same thing
only way to fix is to uminstall BGI & BGII dont worry
you will not loose any of your saved games then reinstall
the games like they were new. Do a full installation &
install everything but put each game in its own file then
install all the latest patches in each game. Start which ever
game you want to play then click configure and set the the
game to 800 by 600 and set the catch to 34000 read page 7,8,& 9
in BGII SoA to help if you have a 3D card.
