Having inherited a rather large fortune from selling my accidentally overcharged ring of human influence (and buying it back for a small amount with only the usual amount of daily charges) and because I am waiting around incessantly for the messenger from Nalia's keep to come and tell me to fight whatshisname, my character has developed something of an alcohol problem. And I rather like it.

I don't think I will be able to give up this wonderful habit and intend to fight as much of the rest of the game - as drunk as possible. What side effects do being drunk have on my character (half elf fighter/thief/mage).

Also is there an off licence (liquer store for the rest of you) in BG2 - i.e somewhere I can by a large supply Beer. I know you can buy Baaleens Ale from a guy in Umar Hills but how much.

i think you get a penalty to all your rolls while drunk but you have better morale-which your PC doesn't need-
As for an unlimited supply of ale there is a mug of DeTriannor's(sp?)Baalor's Ale in the shadow thief guildhall.
IIRC it never gets dry!Belly up comrade and let Korgan flail the bladder for a spell(I think.....)
