I prefer the monster graphics in IWD and the spell graphics in BG2.

IWD has way more sounds, too bad SoA didn't have that. Graphically BG2 is way better!! (I play it at 1024 x 768) IWD doesn't have any main characters and I think it was easier then any of the BG-series. They both have good stories.

Icewind Dale is too linear. There are also no NPCs or anything. It makes the game very boring, although the sounds and graphics are pretty good.

The spell graphics in IWD are a bit of a step back... But I like alot of the background graphics, especially lonelywood (or the tree city or whatever). I found IWD pretty fun, but BG2 is definately more of a epic quest. For that matter Planescape Torment is better than both, ESPECIALLY in character graphics.
