Hi!

After the first time, my main character turned into the Slayer, I noticed the loss of some innate abilities he had before. As an avenger, he could cast horror and holy might once a day besides his shapeshifting abilites.
I never noticed that in my former games, maybe also a new thing due to patches and so on. Or is it just a bug?

it might have something to do with losing your soul...

I believe, too, that it might have to do with my lost soul. I just wondered, because it happens the first time, after all the other classes I played before (or did I just not notice it?).

It's normal, and part of the plot.

It's because Irenicus finishes what he starts, and drains your soul to use as his own.

meanwhile I'm in ToB, so I killed Irenicus before; but that did not restore my former innate abilities. Also normal? AFAIR this happened never before to any of my characters. Is this a special Avenger thing?
BTW, when my Avenger reached level 14, he could fight for the druid grove. The ghost said, that there will soon be the time to fight for ascension. I guessed, this might happen with level 15. Indeed, after leveling to 15, he gained a truckload of additional spells to cast, became resistant to poison and so on. But the ghost never appeared again. Are there only two druid-quests?

You do actually get your abilities back, later on in the game when you regain your soul.

the item, you have to collect from Bhodi will be automatically in your inventory, when you defeated her.

Well, as I said: After beating Irenicus I watched the end sequence and continued without a break in ToB. I had not to import the party or the like, it just went on. I did NOT get my innate abilities back; not a great loss, though. I just wonder, if this is correct or not.
