Doing the genis quest or killing them? which gives the most xp? Where's this druid grove I cant see it in my map

You still have some exploring to do in trademeet (ie. the mayors house) - talk to him first.

Very Very good advice from ScottG follow it and you'll have alot more fun
and get alot more XP doing the whole quest no short cuts here!!
