I'm finaly thinking about getting a familiar for the game, but are they realy worth it ? I dont want to have a little 24 hp target running around thats going to cost me a con point or the frustration of constant restarts.

Thats why you should get cats (backstab) and ferrets. Oh yeah, the pseudo dragons a mage killer (high magic resistance).

Well, it IS a level one spell! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
And no, they are basically useless. ------------------ http://www.animfactory.com/animation...s/j_md_clr.gif |
Just pop him in your backpack and cast it off a scroll (if you're a sorceror). So he can't die, you don't waste a spell slot, and you get about 10 extra hitpoints.

Not sure what mage you could kill with a pseudo dragon... Besides an 'almost dead' mage. They have poor thaco and do like 4 damage per hit.

IMHO Helldog12, forget the familar spell and put a magic missle there or chromatic orb. I never use familar, to worried about having it die and losing that ever so important constitution point. YEAH YEAH, I've got shadowkeeper, but it is all about roleplaying for me.

Familiars are nice mostly for the hp boost. just keep em in your pack and don't let them roam free. free hps
