If you dual your char, can you get two strongholds??
Say, the keep and the planar sphere if you were a fighter/mage??

Yes U can. But I'm not sure if the patch fixes that glitch.But that again, U can still have all the stongholds U want by using the GLOBAL cheats.
CLUAConsole:"PlayerHAsStronghold,(GLOBAL)0"

I'm not pretty sure about the above cheat. I'll be home in about 2 hrs time and correct it if its wrong then.

It would be pretty cool to have two strongholds...

To bad it's just a glitch.

As confirmed by Darkon Blackblood, You can still have both strongholds by doing the Nalia's Keep Quest first but refusing her offer for the keep.She will say something like to come back if U change your mind.
Then U go ahead and complete the Planear Sphere quest and accept it as your first stronghold. Return back to the Keep and have your second stronghold.

If U find all this too confusing,just use the CLUAConsole cheats by typing the below after any stronghold quest to receive them. Just make sure to change your class to the compatible one of the particular stronghold using Shadowkeeper. Change em' back after U received the stronghold....duh!

what is the big thing about strongholds? am at the end of chapter three and all have the keep and all it really does is gimme a few hundred bob a week? what are the other benefits and are they more significant later in the game?

from the keep there a total of about 9 side quest i think
