New to BG2, and I think I'm missing a lot....wondering if I am getting in too deep without being strong enough...seem to lose a lot of battles...so here is my party as of chapter 4

Berserker: 18/91, dex 18, int 18, wis 5, chr 6, con 18
weapon (heres where i feel lame too) Namarra +2, Long Sword +1

Minsc: War Hammer +2, Elec +1, Arbanes Sword +2
Mazzy (lame): Liracor
Yosh: Kitanna's +2, and +1
Anomner: Flail of Ages
Aerie: some lame QStaff....

any thoughts? Give up? Im OK? Punt?

Rely more on magic until you get better weapons. There's lots to be found without necessarily fighting things too hard for you. Do a few city sub-quests to build up XP/items and look in the shops too

I would give Lilacor to Minsc, at this point Mazzy is better with the bow or the hammer

Giving Minsc Lilicor would be the best possible action since Minsc seems to get charmed alot and Lilicor offers the mindshield protection.. Give Mazzy back her starting weapons

Dont use magic within the city untill you gain a liscense or you will find your self up the old creek.
