I was just toying with making a new evil character for the soul purpose of wielding the mighty Soul Reaver and it hit me. If I made a Paladin and he fell from grace, could he not then use the mighty Soul Reaver? I tire of Carsomyr.

Has anybody tried this yet?

I would say no - to make a paladin you need to make him initially lawful good and the will not change at least until the hell, so just make a plain evil or neutral fighter.

Soul Reaver can't be used by any npc unless you cheat. So the answer is no.

Actually, I never asked if an npc could use it. I asked if a fallen Paladin could use it (assuming that fallen would mean an alignment change).

Hi Groljach - correction, any evil PC/NPC can use Soul Reaver. You're thinking of Unholy Reaver which is a +5 sword usable only by anti-paladins. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

I thought the only restriction on Soul Reaver was that it couldn't be wielded by GOOD characters. Isn't Anomen NEUTRAL?

Anomen's a cleric and can only use blunt melee weapons.

Its just a +5 sword like Carsomyr without the magic dispelling bonuses..
