I was just toying with making a new evil character for the soul purpose of wielding the mighty Soul Reaver and it hit me. If I made a Paladin and he fell from grace, could he not then use the mighty Soul Reaver? I tire of Carsomyr.
Has anybody tried this yet? -Immoral |
I would say no - to make a paladin you need to make him initially lawful good and the will not change at least until the hell, so just make a plain evil or neutral fighter.

Soul Reaver can't be used by any npc unless you cheat. So the answer is no.

Actually, I never asked if an npc could use it. I asked if a fallen Paladin could use it (assuming that fallen would mean an alignment change).
BTW my high level Chaotic Evil MC Halfling F/T can use it, and he loves it. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif -Immoral |

Immoral, to answer your question, your paladin's Fallen status is based on reputation, not alignment, so the answer is no - not until he becomes an evil fighter. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif ------------------ http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/memnoch/memnochsig.gif [This message has been edited by Memnoch (edited 07-26-2001).] |
I thought the only restriction on Soul Reaver was that it couldn't be wielded by GOOD characters. Isn't Anomen NEUTRAL?
|
Anomen's a cleric and can only use blunt melee weapons.

Exactly what does the Unholy Reaver *DO*?
Its just a +5 sword like Carsomyr without the magic dispelling bonuses.. ------------------ Why? |
