Having been playing the game for ages as a Cavalier, i have suddenly been dropped to a fallen cavalier. Is their anyway, either in the game or by cheating to restore my character back to a Cavalier.

I think you just have to get your reputation back up.. I am not sure of the level of reputation you need, though...
Just try doing quests that will give you reputation rewards.. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Page 70 of Game Manual.." if at any time the party's reputation falls below 6, the character loses status as a Paladin...cannot regain it" under Alignment section. Is that what happened to you?
