My "Versus Perfect Guide" suggested that I play the game through by getting Imoen back and then going after Irenicus. They said I should do this first and then afterwards do all those quests that aren't directly related to the story-line like the Windspear Hills, Umar Hills, Cult of the Eyeless, etc. I took their advice and made getting Imoen back my main priority. When I got her back, I then proceeded to go after Irenicus. Well anyways, I beat the game and I was all excited to finish up all the other quests but after the last battle, that was it. I couldn't go back and finish up those quests. There was a little scene with Irenicus and then some shady guys sitting around a table then Game over. Piss me off!

So my question(s) is:
Is there a way to go back and finish up all the quests AFTER you defeat Irenicus/Slayer for the last time? Or do you have to finish everything you want to finish before heading to the Tree of Life and facing Irenicus?

You must do the sides you want before chapter 7 (in chapter 6).

Actually, you can do those quests in Chapter 7, but before the tree of life quest. You can get out of Suldanesselar.

You can load any previous save before the point of destroying the last Tree of Life leech, which will automatically lead you to Irenicus. Just go and do all the side-quests you want and come back and hack off the last leech.

I feel for you Rono...I've read through the "perfect guide" and it is far from it...whatever crack those guys were smoking when they wrote it must have been killer...

I was quite unimpressed/displeased with their "guide" (obviously someone spent part of a weekend putting that together for publishing). You can "make getting back Imoen " a priority-- but i don't think your guide meant for you to actualy "finish" irenicus. You might want to get Imoen back, then do the quests, then "finish" Irenicus
