I´m playing a Kensai, just hit Lvl. 9 and now i want to study the magic arts. However, the button to change class remains dark. I tried creating a new Kensai, and couldn`t change either. I have dualed chars before, no problem, but this time.

Ther are several questions, hope anyone can help me:

- I installed three patches, the grand mastery patch, the bonus merchants and the Level Cap remover. Does one of these have an effect on dualling?

- I created a bag of holding for my Kensai using the CLUA Console, could it be that?

- Can u dual anytime or just when reaching a new Level or what?

- My stats are Str.: 18
Dex.: 18
Con.: 18
Int.: 18
Wis.: 8
Cha.: 9

I want to dual to a Mage, i read it has been done a thousand times.

Anyone out there can help me fast?

you prob. need an "alignment"

or - is your str. really 18 or a modified 18?

Minimum wisdom for a wizard is 12

My strength is a modified 18. Is there a minimum?

If so, how can i change it?

My alignment is neutral good.

Do i need shadowkeeper?

If so, can you tell me how to use it to adjust my strength?

THANXX,

Ah, he got whized-on, that explains it.

Using SK is simple - just download it click on the saved game of choice and change away. Really an excellent piece of programing, very intuitive.

Well, dual class have to meet 4 criterea : human; sufficient stats in the leaving class; excellent stats in the new class; and L2 in the old class. BG adds another 3 : no ranger, paladin or bard MC; the target must make a valid multi-class; and only one new class. Only the first class can be a "Kit".

I'm not sure why your Kensai cannot be multiclassed. I put together a quick Human Kensai with 18/02 Str 14 Dex 11 Con 18 Int 9 Wiz & 8 Cha and was able to Dual-class to mage first thing.

Needless to say, I shan't be bothering to play this character through....

To dual a kensai to mage you need:

1. to be human
2. At least 15 natural unmodified strength-your primary stat in your first class
3. At least 17 intelligence your second classes primary stat (incidently you don't need a minimum of 12 wis i've dual classed with 9 wisdom before now)
4. To be above first level (not a problem in this case)

It sounds like your str is too low to dual class alternatively I've found if you play around with shadowkeeper oo muh it does strange things to your characters it might be that too.
