I have completed BG1 and Tales of sword coast but cannot import my characters or saved game to BG2 in a single player mode, can anyone assist.

Have you put the save game from bg1 into the bg2 save folder?

No I have'nt done this and do not know how to, could you please advise?. Many thanks.

Ok; go to where u installed bg1, then go to the folder called save. Right click on the save game folder u want to import. Then click on copy then head on over to where u installed bg2. Thanks for your help, have just transferred character accross from BG1 successfully, although he has not got any weapons,armour etc is this located somewhere close?. Many thanks again.

No unfortunately, you lose your equipment when you start up the game.
