I get fatal exception errors that say 0028:c1894339 in VXD DSound(03)+00001099
why is this happening at random times? i can't even hardly get to play the darn game

As for your question, I don't know what that code means, so all I can say is..Did you add your own sounds to your character? Maybe those are wrong or screwed up or the name is too long. If not, you MIGHT hve to uninstall and reinstall, but don't try that unless you get no other help.

Try switching off 3d sound if its on, or try switching off sound altogether try switching of music and ambient sound. perhaps your sound card is old, mine is and i have ocassianly had it crash out when music and ambient sound is on.
