Best tactic: Sorcerer who knows Melf's Minute Meteors. Around level 11. Use all 6 spell slots on the Golem, and that should kill them.

If you don't have the above mentioned spell, then I think you need +3 or better weapons to hurt it and even then you do the minimum damage. You really need to look out for the cloudkill it lays down around itself, so range weapons work well. I killed my first Adamantite golem with Azerudge and the cloak of stars http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

I usually just deck out my melee with my magical halberds. I have a few now. That usually does the trick.

This works in my game, just equip someone with the Vorpal Sword(Silver Sword?) and it works wonders. Other than that, the Silver sword is just overrated

I suppose this goes along the Beholder/Lich thread too. BG versions = weak! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif |
In Throne of Bhaal, when a wizard becomes high enough level, you'll get another spell that works great. That's all I can say about that. Otherwise, blunt weapons do more damage than any other(as long as +3 or better)
There's a certain hammer in a certain keep that does more damage to giants. ------------------ http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/memn...ges/drizzt.gif Let's get'em guen! Quote:

I sent in 2 fire elementals and 2 aireal servants, then maybe sent a tank in behind those to help out. Haste/bless/protection from evil may help too.
