My main character is in a romance with Jaheira, I hope. But our rep is now 19, and she's comlaining. Does this kill the romance?

Not at all. The game is biased towards the side of good; Neutral NPCs won't leave if you have a reputation of 20, but will leave if you have a rep of 1.

Speaking of romances, what are all the "romancing characters" in the game? For both guys and girls, I mean.

For males of certain races (I'm sure nothing personal was intended there) romances are possible with Aerie, Jaheira, and Viconia. For the females, they are stuck with Anomen, for better or for worse.

Oh, thats not fair! U can tell that the marketing people were targeting the guyz for this game, otherwise they would have given the girls a better lookin guy to do a romance with. Is there any way to create a character, and make it fall in luv with your "main" character? (If you're a girl)

Yeah, it is pretty unfair. On top of that, Anomen is an ass http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

I agree with you. I, personally, would have allowed at least one other male romance; however, the only two with whom I think it could be feasible would be Haer'Dalis (if he can get over Aerie) or Valygar (especially after Planar Sphere).

To create a character who would fall in love with a female PC would require considerable dialog creation, some new global and local variables, scripting, etc. I'm not sure what might be available through ToB, though. Does anyone who has ToB have any input here?

ToB only continues the romances from BG 2. Sorry, you're stuck with Anomen. They originally were going to have a Haer Daelis romance, but it got cut for time and budget restrictions.

I have to defend Jaheira here. If you're not in her romance she can get a bit too preachy, but unless you're afraid of independent women, she is one of the best characters in the game. Besides, because of her friendship to Gorion, she feels the need to mentor your character, whether he/she likes it or not.

Skydracgrrl- you could always put the "Girdle of Gender" on either Aerie or Virconia!

On a side note- I always thought race should be a factor for romances-

I have a human F/M with Virconia and Jaheera in my party. I find it amusing Virconia will bag on Jaheera for being a half elf (was your mother whore to the rivvin?), but turn around and put the moves on me- which would make here the same as Jaheera's mom...

Also, if I run a halfling PC, wouldn't Mazzy be the most logical choice.
