thinking of playing with a barbarian, are they worth it? are they fun to play and all that jazz or boring and hard to level up. Imput appreciated

And I think they are great... the barbarian rage is amazing.. +4 to str and +4 to con... that is incredible... that's 23 str and 23 con for a half-orc

The increased movement allows you to get out in front of your party, to allow the archers to pick off enemies while you engage in melee... and the immunity to backstabbing is great too, especially for those pesky rune assassins... http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

The HIT POINTS ARE INCREDIBLE.. I am level 8, and I have about 150 HP... amazing... http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Dual-wield or two-handed sword is awesome... I am currently dual-wielding long sword and warhammer.. eventually will do katana and warhammer for the celestial fury and crom faeyr...

Hindrances are not that bad.. so you cant become grandmaster in a weapon.. but specialized is good enough... and the armor hindrance is not a hindrance at all considering the amount of armor in the game that is below plate but is still really good...
(still not sure if the barbarian can use the red dragon scale armor?)

Nope I hate pure fighters...but I have 3 mages so how biased is that?

Barbarian is a great class but I rarely play it because its just not me, I like Kensai though great to roleplay.

I played a barbarian for a while and he kicked ass where ever he went. when I got to level 15+ he had over 220 HP! You can get some 5+ chain from the adventurer's mart in chapter 6, so armour isn't a problem. and then the barbarian rage makes him so srong his thac0s go down to about -10 and -7! Kick ass!!!

I think they're cool, but not much fun to roleplay.

Your choice, but I'd try it out.
