Set up all your traps (yes thief required) in a spot you know the lich will go to or you can lure him to. That's it. He walks into traps and ALL of them hit him at once. BOOM!!

Turn in to a mustard jelly w/ the cloak of the sewers. W/ 100% magic resistance, the lich will waste it's spells (keep the rest of the party off screen). Then when it starts going in to it's standard fight mode bring in the rest of your party. Kinda cheesy but it works. If you want some real (less cheesy) tips go to Game Banshee's Kangaxx Tips

That stuff isn't new. Are you? I don't think so, but you should know that lich killing has been a topic of discussion for a VERY long time. That particular site and its content is no exception. I've seen it up there for quite a while. I haven't seen the trap tactic anywhere, but I'm pretty sure it was discussed at some point because I doubt that *I* was the first to think of it. If anyone knows where a topic about killing liches with traps is, please let me know.

Killing creatures purely with traps or summoned creatures is all well and good but you don't necessarily get any XP for doing so. Cheap tactics, cheap rewards. You probably never received the 22,000 XP for the dead Lich, just his goodies.
