Congrats on a fantastic game!!
I have completed the game and decided to experiment with some different characters. Unfortunately I can't seem to create a sorcerer who can actually cast any spells. I have made sure he has absolutley no equipment on ,armour or otherwise. I have done a complete reinstall of the game, loaded the lastest patch, tried 8 times yet none of my attempt have been successful. His magic icons are all grayed out.
Normal Mages work fine as do the rest of the characters I have tried. I haven't install any extra files into the overide folder or modified the game in any way (I originally installed a patch which fixed an apparent error involving Grand mastery proficiency but it wasn't 'official' so I removed it and reinstalled the game)
Do sorcerer cast spells in a completely new way? I know that they dont memorize spell or learn from scrolls but i assumed everything else should be the same.

This may seem obvious, but you did rest didn't you. But you said that the icons are greyed out, which means that the spells are available, but you can't use them. In that case I don't konw. My sorcerer seems to be able to cast normally, like all other mages. A bug perhaps? I don't know.

Again this may seem obvious but.....You didn't put any armour on your charachter did you. Although, Sorcerer's may wear armour they can't cast spells whilst doing so!!

No, he already mentioned that his Sorcerer wasn't wearing any armour. FallenPaladin is right; he didn't rest. That's indeed the most obvious guess, and also a very commonly made mistake...

Ummmmmmmmm as mentioned before REST. That should do the trick. I havent heard of anyone else in here having a sorcerer not being able to cast spells so I find it unlikely that its just a bug. Try resting and then get back to us.

p.s. WELCOME TO THE BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
