i have been trying to complete the tanners murder for some time now.... i have the exotic hide, and i just talked to the kid that tells about the witch. I cannot find where the witch is or who to talk to about the exotic hide. any help would be great.

Have you read the tanner letter and talked to the guy in the Umar hills?

You need to talk to the Guy in Umar region, then you will need one last component....one question are you running a good or an evil party??

OK, I think this quest is screwy. Depending on the order of the clues you find, and when you do things.

I could not find her either. Then, I solved the case, and she just appeared out of no where, in a place I had looked several times (day and night).

So

A) she may not not appear, until after you confront the murder. But dont worry, you dont need her.

B) If she is there, she will be in the southwest corner of the Bridge district, by the bottom corner of the last building on the west side.

For one thing, you have to be evil to wear it, and I do not believe it's all that good. I could be wrong, but it's a leather equivalent. You also need Silver dragon blood. You find this out talking to the guy with the book in Umar Hills.

You need to take the hide to Bel Dalemark. He will identify it for you. He is a merchant located in the middle of the map. Right next to him is Rose Bouquet. She can also proivde you information about the murders.
