how can i lower my reputation without killing a peasant and having everyone around attack me? is there a way without having other people notice, or without killing neebers?

Killing Neeber will not lower your rep. If you want to lower it in early parts of the game, try and get caught stealing (then run away, the downside is that you cannot visit that merchant again), OR go into a house where there is only 1 or 2 ppl, and kill them. Later on in the game you will get an ability where each time you use it lowers your rep by 2.

i didn't mean neeber.. i meant neebers or annoying random characters that eat up all my free time talking to them.... thanks for the info
