I have three questions, first, how does the armor class work, is 1 better then 5? Second, is there any way to get rid of a familiar exept killing it?And last, can i get better familiars than a cat?http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...itty3_anim.gif

The lower the armour class the better (for example 1), it goes from 10 to minus 15. No, but you can stick it in your backpack and leave it there, or you can cast imprisoment. The familiar you get depends on your alignment, for example lawful good spellcasters get pesudo dragons. Welcome to the board, make sure you avoid welcomewagons with cloudy written on the side.
