Being evil, I was told by Mae'Var to steal the statuette from the temple of Lathander, SO.....I located it in the safe, but I have tried EVERYTHING (well, obviously not, but....) and I don't have a clue how to get it without the alarm going off. I have:
-Disarmed the trap on the safe,
-Tried with Improved Invisibility
-Waited for Dawnmaster Kreel to get out of sight (which would be the only obvious reason for him to move around like he does)
-Tried on different times to see if the guards would leave their positions
-Cast Dispel Magic on the safe
-Searched everywhere in and outside the temple for a key
-Pickpocketed every person in the temple
-Talked to everyone in the temple
-Talked to Renal Bloodscalp

But the alarm still goes off every time!
Please hint, don't spoil me too much...Thanx!

Sorry I really can't help....the alarm never went off when I took the statuette? All I did was disarm the trap and took the statuette. What time of night is it when you go? I went at about 2am....maybe it's a bug in the game.

This is the way I did it:

Disarm and unlock the safe with the statue.

Get an invisbility potion ready in your quick slots

Loot the safe, but don't take the statue until you pause the game.

While still paused, and with the statue in your inventory, drink the invis potion.

It may take a few tries to get the timing right, but I have done it several times this way without triggering the alarm.

Go at night and i think it wont go off.

If you have a cleric, cast Santuary on him/her, it worked for me (several times).
