I keep getting "'Character' appears busy. For example, I can't talk to Tolgerias in the government district... I couldn't talk to the sewer golem in the prison (I had to pickpocket him to get out).

I just bought Throne of Bhaal, and I am going back to replay Baldur's Gate II SoA with TOB installed (since I lost the hard-drive with my savegames on it).

Do you have Windows 2000? There is a beta patch at Bioware that fixes this for people with Windows 2000. It was caused by a conflict with Windows 2000 (which they don't officially support).

Yes I do, in fact. Thank you immensely for your help. Is this in a FAQ somewhere? I called myself looking for this before posting.

*update*
I guess I should have gone to check the website for patches first. I normally do that, but I assumed, however, that a game just released on Friday wouldn't have any patches out yet. My mistake. Thanks again for your help.
