I think what confuses me the most is when to complete which quests, in which order. when to move onto the next chapter etc.. i think that is why my party is underdeveloped. I might just load my save game from after completing the circus and start gathering my party members from there. any ideas? comments?

Well as for myself, after I dealt with the circus I went over to the slums where I spoke with Bayle. From there I went and did the de'Arnise quest. After that I kinda wandered about doing all the quests that were available. By the time I finished completing all quests in Chapter Two most of my party was from level 12 to 16. So by the time I moved on to the main quests in Chapter 3 I was a bad mutha. But this is really a personal choice of where to go in your travels and more importantly who is in your party makes a difference in what happens next sometimes.
