There are at least two dealers in magic scrolls in the Promenade area.

I practcally searched my whole first game for a Lower Magic Resistance
(LMR) -scroll . As fas as i know, only ONE man in the whole of SoA, sells them.

It's the smithy in trademeet, just go there, and look at your map, it shows where the smithy is. Weird enough this guy sells pretty damn good scrolls and useless armor, silly smithy-guy ...

From what I've read so far, doesn't it help to cast MR on certain npcs opposed to casting the LMR on them? I haven't downloaded any patches that may include a fix for this so I'll be trying it out in the time to come but it seems like a um... nifty idea though situational and exploitive.

Just wanted to add this in case you haven't seen it posted before. Claims have been made that the lower line/lvl MR buff spell will overwrite the npcs higher MR. In some cases, an npc with 75 MR would have an MR of, say for example, 25. If you tried using a hostile type of spell, which I'm sure LMR is, then the Mr of that npc may or may not drop to anything close to 25.

I also posted this in case you haven't found the LMR spell and can find the buff spell easier.

Good luck and have fun,

PeeWee

It is true, the Priest/cleric MR-spell (not available on scrolls)
is a nice spell to use at lower levels, ... even at higher actually.
The highest MR it gives you is 40 % , so if you cast it on someone with 80 % MR, you'll do more lowering then any LMR-spell would do.

And using the MR-spell is NOT an exploit in my opnion, For instance:
- When dealing with Fiirkraag i used MR first, when he was still "friendly", afterwards he did NOT turn hostile. Some say this is an exploit, but if I was the adventurer, I'd simply play the fool.

Cast MR on him, pretending to help him, as a friendly gesture, it's not your fault, you're too dum to know that his MR is higher normally.

Aye, I agree, I just didn't want to go into a rant here on what "is" exploitive or not either from my eyes or ppl I've grown to know who play these rpg games. I like the rpg games where certain things like this come out in the adventurer's favor. It takes cunning and being different. I've just been playing Everquest for soo long that stuff like that gets "nerfed" hence exploitation.

This is entirely different and I should treat it as such =)
I particularly like the different methods ppl use to play this game...gives more meaning to the phrase that variety is the spice of life.
