As it doesn't appear to be in the manual could someone outline the number of spells that can be learnt/cast for each scorceror level.

Take the wizard spell list in the manual. Add 1 to the number of spells on each level
.
In addition, they have to wait an extra level before casting higher level spells
.
For example, Fireball (3rd level spell) can be cast by a 5th level mage or 6th level sorceror
.
A 3rd level wizard can cast 2 1st level spells
A 3rd level sorceror can cast 3

This doesn't quite fit in with my current lev 10 sorceror;

lev 1 - 4 spells in book. Can cast 6 spells
lev 2 - 4 spells in book. Can cast 6 spells
lev 3 - 3 spells in book. Can cast 6 spells
lev 4 - 2 spells in book. Can cast 5 spells
lev 5 - 1 spell in book. Can cast 3 times.

I think maybe you're confusing a specialist mage with a sorcerer.

A specialist mage (Diviner, Illusionist, Necromancer etc) is allowed one extra spell per level but can't learn spells from its school of opposition.

A sorcerer has the innate ability to cast spells, they dont need to select and prepare them. They know fewer spells and acquire them more slowly but can cast them more often. Sorcerers dont need to memorize spells.
