someone please tell me step by step of how to backstab.
|
1) Hide in shadows.
2)Sneak around behind target. 3)Attack with the appropriate weapon. NOTE: As far as I know you can't back stab with blunt weapons or large weapons, try it with a short sword or dagger. ------------------ Grinch |
żou can backstab with any weapon a thief can use. except clubs i think.

Just for the record, there ARE no stupid questions on this board, ask away! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
Oh, and if your Hide in Shadows ability is too low, you can use invisibility potions or spells...good luck! ------------------ Melusine, High Queen of Fluffies, Archbabe of the Order of the Holy Flame and the Laughing Hyenas, & Official Entertainer Elf of the BG2 Bar http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/memnoch/mel1.gif Your voice is ambrosia |
Can you back stab with a staff of the Magi for a thief/Mage with really poor hide in shadows ab.
|
I doubt it. Imagine you're the one standing behind a creature, hidden and with a staff. Think you can stab him?
Another thing about backstabbing: how do you determine what side of a mustard jelly you're on? I've heard people claim it's impossible to stab such creatures, but maybe they were all standing in front of it. Anyone ever backstabbed backless creatures? ------------------ The last arrow of Legolas kindled in the air as it flew, and plunged burning into the heart of a great wolf-chieftain. Backstabbing is better used against tougher opponents I guess, like vampires and Dragons. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif |
even though you can in bg2 in proper Dnd you cant backstab constructs or creature like dragons. I think tho in neverwinter nights since its the 3rd edtion there will be only flank attacks.
