How do you get level 9 spells for plain mages and sorcerers? iwanted to start a new game with a sorcerer..

WOLFGIR 06-20-2001 04:43 AM

You would have to get rid of the EXp cap i think. Today you will not be able to cast 9:th level speels with the EXp cap hindering you from rising to thoose levels if I don´t rember wrongly (anyone??)

So If you get rid of the EXp cap you can cast 9:th level spells, there are some scrls that can be used..

Wolfgir is correct. You can't cast 9th level spells with the XP cap. In ToB you will be able to.

the only 1 way i know of casting lvl 9 spells without cheating in any form is to play bg with a mage with 18 int and get the book to put your int up

You mean that if your mage has 19int you WILL be able to cast lvl9 spells?

No, I think that's incorrect. You really do need to remove the XP cap first. I think Bruce is referring to the fact that you can't Read Magic from a 9th level scroll if your intelligence is too low.

You can use the spell from the scroll, but if you don't want to waste the scroll, have your SIMULACRUM read it http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif. That applies to any scroll, including protection from magic, which are very scarce in the game http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

i think that you also might need the lvl 50 rules pack or so from www.teambg.com . not sure tho, never tried it w/out it installed...
