I want to use my Ranger from BG1 but when I try to import it nothings there. Why?

You need to copy across your character file from the BG1 directory to the BG2 directory.
just make sure he's 7th level or better or you lose out on hit points because your xp will go up but you hp won't-which is really annoying.
